Fishies!

A few weeks ago we went to the Arizona Sea Life aquarium. If you ever get the chance I highly recommend you check it out. Here are some of the animals you will see (minus my kiddos, unless you want to splurge and take us back... LOL). I was disappointed that a good chunk of my photos came out blurry. I would love some suggestions on how to fix this... either while shooting (lots of dark areas, and focused bright lights. I was using both automatic and manual modes) or in processing the photos. Thanks!

Waving hello! :)

These two of the Stingray were taken while looking up. They have a long glass tunnel you can walk through, and the fish were swimming right over our heads.

Random

Here are some random shots of our summer so far. The first few were taken at the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium... I would highly recommend it. My kids loved it. (Added bonus is that you are in doors... when it's a 110 degrees out this is a must! LOL) We did manage to get to the zoo before it got to hot, but it may be awhile awhile now as the weather hot and only getting HOTTER as I sit here. Anyway hope you like them... Enjoy!

Shadows

We spent new years visiting family. These were taken down by a river where my folks are. The top one is actually me taking a picture of my own shadow, LOL.

More summer fun

These were actually taken 2 years ago, but recently edited. But I figured I'd post them since it's summer... and summer means you get out in the water as much as possible... LOL! Enjoy!

Summer

This one reminds me of summer... feet dangling in the nice cool water. Ahhh the lazy days of summer.

Upset

This is may daughter upset about something at the water park. I am finding I am drawn to take more "natural" type photos about everyday life. Not everyday is all smiles and laughter. Her attitude is pretty funny to see though... LOL.

Desert rain

Proof it does actually rain in the desert. :)

Fish

I am trying some different things theses days with some photos. This one is an inverted look at some Koi fish. I thought it was interesting.


Here is another more traditional take on the Koi fish. The shadows give the fish an almost transparent look.
These were edited using an online program called FotoFlexer. Great program. You can create some really cool effects using this program.

Water fun

This is a photo of my son playing at a splash pad. Anything to cool off in the desert. :) Hope you like it!

Fireworks in water

This is actually a window with running water behind it. I thought it was a very interesting design. Not sure if the colors are from the sun, or the way the window was created, but either way it was a very cool effect.
